How to start an OnlyFans as a man, in five steps

Any man who is at least 18 and lives in a country where OnlyFans pays out can open a creator account: you verify your identity, add a payout method, set a price and post. Do it in the order below, privacy first, because the mistakes that are hard to undo happen before the first post.
Step 1: Decide what you will make, and what you will not
Write down your limits before you open anything. What you are willing to make decides who your fans will be, how you promote the account and what you can sell in messages, so it is the first decision, not one to make on the way.
Answer four questions for yourself:
- Will you show your face? You can start faceless and show it later, but never the other way round. Faceless OnlyFans for men covers what that choice changes.
- What will you make: suggestive content only, solo content, or content with a partner? Anyone else who appears in explicit content must be a tagged verified creator or complete OnlyFans' release-form verification, and can withdraw consent later, after which the content may be deleted.
- What will you never offer, whatever a fan pays? Fans ask, and a limit you set now is easier to keep than one you invent in a conversation.
- How much time can you give it each day? An account needs daily attention to grow, and it is better to know now if you have half an hour or three hours.
Step 2: Set up your privacy before anything else
Privacy is easy to set up at the start and very hard to add later. Before you verify anything, create:
- a stage name and username that appear nowhere else in your life
- a new email address used only for the account and its promotion profiles
- new promotion accounts on other platforms, never renamed old ones
Then, once the account exists, switch on the protection OnlyFans offers. You can hide your profile by IP address, by country, or by state or province in the US, Australia and Canada, add a free watermark with your own text to your media and use free DRM for videos, switched on by you and applied to videos uploaded after that. Step 3: Open the account and get verified
First check that OnlyFans can pay you where you live. It publishes no country list; instead, you create a fan account and open Add Bank, where the list of supported countries appears. Where it cannot support payments, no creator account can be opened at all.
Then verify. You must be at least 18 and will provide more than 9 pieces of identifying information, including a government photo ID and two selfies, plus a bank account or payment method. OnlyFans takes this seriously: about 59% of account applications made in 2021 were rejected for not meeting its requirements. Use a clear, valid ID, photos in good light and your own bank account, because the legal name on the payout method has to match your ID, and payout details cannot be changed by the user.
Two things follow you after sign-up. Every creator account gets a new selfie check every 30 days. And tax: in the US, OnlyFans collects a W-9, and outside the US a tax ID may be required depending on your country, and without it you cannot withdraw.
Step 4: Set your prices and prepare your first posts
OnlyFans gives you several prices to set, and each does a different job:

You can link up to three creator accounts to one creator profile, which is how some creators run a free page and a paid page side by side.
Before you launch, prepare two weeks of posts so the page is not empty on day one, and write a welcome message for new subscribers. A fan who subscribes to an empty page has little reason to renew.
Step 5: Launch, promote and get paid
Fans have to find a new page before they can subscribe, so the launch is your promotion. Three rules apply from the start: you may not promote an OnlyFans account with Google Ads or other search advertising, a paid shout-out has to be marked #ad, #paidpromotion or #sponsored, plus the brand and who paid, and payments outside OnlyFans are not allowed and put the account at risk of deactivation.
